Venkatesh

The macho, handsome and brawny Daggupati Venkatesh (Venki) was born on 13th Dec 1960 at Karamchedu, Prakasam dt. He is a second son of the famous producer Dr.D.Rama Naidu.Brother Suresh Babu is a producer of high standard films.
Venki, after obtaining an M B A in the U.S., returned to look after the family business. But destiny willed otherwise and on the advice of his father, he took to acting. He made his debut with the film Kaliyuga Pandavulu in 1986.
The care he took from the beginning in choosing the stories is the main reason for his success as a top hero. He earned full marks as an actor with his early films, 'Prema', 'Brahma putrudu', 'Bobbili Raja' etc, in which he played distinctly different characters. His speciality lies in acting not only in commercial hits with mass appeal, but in playing the charecters that displayed his talent.Every body expects a Venkatesh film to have something new to it.
Although an actor , he is not a person who allows success to go into his head.No matter what, he is always soft-spoken and humble, he comes across as a mature human being. He is more of a businessman compared to an actor.According to him ,he is in the film industry to make money. He earns his living with it.

The year hasn't been that great for Telugu cinema despite films starring biggies like Chiranjeevi (Shankardada Zindabad -- the sequel to Shankardada M.B.B.S) and Mahesh Babu (Athidhi.
Though the films got mixed reviews, the actors? performance came in for some praises. Here are the noteworthy ones of 2007.
Venkatesh
Films: Adavari Matalaku Ardhale Verule (AMAV), Thulasi
'Victory' Venkatesh came back with a bang after a gap of more than a year with AMAV.
Selvaraghavan had etched a good role for him in AMAV, which required portraying a lot of subtlety in emotions. And Venkatesh was perfect as Ganesh in this film.
Thulasi, on the other hand, projected Venkatesh more as an action hero. As Thulasi Ram, Venkatesh was a silent, yet violent character. The movie had a lot of sentimental stuff as well. So Venkatesh could portray a kaleidoscope of emotions.
